I really enjoyed my experience at Ripple. I really appreciated the approach and the attention from the staff. Being part of a smaller group made things much easier for me.
Shadow Mountain Detox Hospital has staff that is wonderful to work with. The program is designed to achieve the best possible success for the patient. The program content was helpful in understanding addiction and a better way to deal with it. A family member completed the program and was successful and comfortable through the difficult process of detox. The staff was helpful and kept the family informed on a daily basis.
This facility has two wonderful providers, Amanda Turner (APRN) and Justin Brinkerhoff (PA), who visit daily with the patients and fine-tune the plan of care to provide the greatest comfort for each and every patient in their detox process. The average length of stay is seven to ten days, and the nurses are all fantastic, offering the patients any as-needed medications to help treat the many symptoms of detox not otherwise covered by the scheduled medication regimen. The Executive Director of the facility, Dina Beach, is very approachable and competent, as well. There are a wide array of activities to help pass the time, as well, including movies, books, board games, etc. Most importantly, you will be listened to and respected, whether you are the incoming patient or a family/friend of the prospective patient. Ten out of ten in my book.
I am a person in long-term recovery, which to me means I haven’t used any alcohol or drugs since January 15th of 2017. At Shadow Mountain, the clinical staff was experienced, patient, and engaged. The support staff such as the techs all represented strong recovery and guys like Nate played a vital role in the beginning of my sobriety. The facilities were adequate and the medical aspect (pharmacology, therapy, group activities) were efficient and beneficial. I wouldn’t have the life I have today without Shadow Mountain.
Shadow Mountain saved my life. It was an incredible experience that taught me about who I am and gave me the skills necessary to continue on finding my place in this world. As I write this review I am 3 years 9 months and 29 days sober. I owe my life to John Beemer and the rest of the staff. If your looking to get the treatment you need; the treatment you deserve, Shadow Mountain is definitely a good place to start. They changed my life, and I hope they can do the same for you! 5 stars!!
This place saved my life. There's no other way to put it. I would have lost my life to my addiction if I had not chosen Shadow Mountain in Taos. I am grateful every day that I decided on this place. I had been to inpatient rehabilitation centers before, and this is by far the best that I've been to. Everybody that works there understands and cares about what the clients are going through. The area is absolutely beautiful. There are plenty of activities to join in on. And the recovery scene in Taos is incredible. It is not an easy program, but it is life saving.
This facility is amazing! The staff is one of the most caring group of people I have ever met and I repeatedly hear the clients state that they are being given the tools they need to recover and live sober lives.
This place is great! The people there are very human, compassionate, and understanding. Wonderful place to heal and start life anew.
